OUR STORY
A family idea called Kaitlany.
Kaitlany began with our daughters in mind. We wanted to build something of our own that they could grow up seeing, asking about, and perhaps one day feeling proud of.
We were drawn to glycerin soap because of the possibilities it offers. Color, shape, and presentation give us room to create something personal from an everyday product.
OUR BEGINNING
What brought us here.
Our daughters are the reason we started thinking seriously about building a business of our own.
We want them to grow up seeing what it takes to start something: making decisions, learning new skills, fixing mistakes, and continuing when things don't work the first time.
We hope to build a business that gives our family more choice over our time.
Just as important, we hope our daughters will look back and see that we were willing to try, work, and learn instead of leaving an idea unexplored.
We're still learning ourselves. There's a lot we haven't figured out yet, and we're comfortable being open about that.
THE NAME
Two names, together.
The name Kaitlany comes from combining the names of our two daughters.
We chose it because we wanted both of them to have a place in this business from the beginning.
Their names are part of ours now.
Whatever Kaitlany becomes, its name will always remind us of the family behind it.
BEHIND THE DESIGNS
How a design takes shape.
We work with prepared glycerin soap bases using the melt-and-pour method. It's a process that gives us room to experiment with colors, shapes, fragrances, and the finished presentation.
01 — The Base
Each design starts with a prepared glycerin soap base.
02 — The Design
We consider the color, fragrance, shape, and visual details before preparing the design.
03 — The Pour
The prepared soap mixture is poured into molds and allowed to set.
04 — The Finish
Once set, the soap is removed from its mold and prepared for its final presentation.
OUR APPROACH
The details we care about.
Sometimes it's a small thing that makes a product memorable: colors that work well together, a shape that catches your eye, or the way something looks when you open the box.
Those are the choices we enjoy working through as we develop Kaitlany.
We want receiving one of our products to feel pleasant and personal, whether someone chooses it for themselves or gives it to another person.
